My name is Suzanne Jackson and I have been teaching at Seneca Grade School since 1996 after I graduated from Illinois State University. For the first 8 years of my career, I was a special education teacher for kindergarten through 4th grade. This experience allowed me to work with many wonderful children and learn so much about the challenges some children face with the learning that takes place at school. I was also able to work in numerous classrooms which gave me many ideas about how I would run my own classroom as a regular education teacher someday. Therefore when the opportunity came up in 2004 for me to teach first grade at Seneca Grade School, I was ready for the challenge! Since then I have seen many changes in the education process and am amazed every day by what these little people can do! Teaching first grade is a constant adventure and I look forward to helping all children in my class reach their full potential. On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Chris since 1998. We live in Coal City with our 8 year old son Tyler, our 5 year old daughter Kylie, and two Havanese puppies Indy and Cleo. Needless to say, my husband and I stay very busy trying to keep up with the task of raising a family.
